Do you like to hear about your partner's exes? Does it make you jealous or forge greater intimacy?

It's not necessarily something I would like to hear about, but if it was brought up I wouldn't be jealous. I have my fiance' and have for almost five years now. I think I would get a little jealous if it was brought up on a regular basis, obviously.

What's your favorite holiday TV special or movie, and why?

Home Alone, because it is an all around great movie! I always look forward to watching it when Christmas rolls around?

Hello all! I know I haven't posted in a while, and I plan on changing that by making it a point to post at least twice a week.

Christmas was AMAZING! I got to see amazing people, eat amazing food, and got amazing gifts. But, I didn't forget that it was Jesus' birthday, and we made sure to celebrate that as well. Some of the most noteworthy gifts I received were tons of gift cards, a BigTop Cupcake Maker, a remote start for my Scion, Reebok Easy Tones, and a Silver Dollar City season pass. I loved Christmas; all three of them! (Three sets of grandparents)

New Years was pretty good as well. My fiance' and I spent it with my grandparent's, because I just felt like we needed to. It was nice:)

Yesterday was my fiance and I's four year and eight month anniversary. We have been engaged for eight months now:) It wasn't a big anniversary so we didn't do anything, but it was worth mentioning. Today is an anniversary as well. Unfortunately, it's not a happy anniversary, but rather quite sad and solemn. Three years ago today, on January 5, 2008, four boys, my good friend Zachary Eugene Whittet being one of them, went out joyriding for a good time. They ended up hill-topping. Not one of them made it home alive; all four were killed on impact as their car veered off the road and hit a tree. Zach was an awesome person. He loved his family and especially his little sister. They will all be missed. Rest In Peace Zach.

Oh College! How I have missed you during this break.... NOT! School starts again on the 18th, and although I can't wait to actually start my nursing classes, having a college consumed life again doesn't thrill me. I just keep telling myself "just get it done, and you will be making nearly $20/hr by the time you are twenty-two years old." (if I do it right). My mom works in surgery at Cox Hospital with a nurse who is twenty-one years old and is already making $18/hr, and went to the same school I am attending. Just thinking about that keeps me going. I want to give my future kid(s) the best life I possibly can.

Well, I can't think of much more right this minute, but thanks for reading!

I would like to start this new journey of online journaling by introducing myself and giving those interested a bit of insight into my life. Enjoy!

Here we go...

My name is Andrea. I turned nineteen in September. Yup! my last year as a teenager. I live in Springfield, Missouri. I am a freshman at Ozarks Technical Community College, studying to be a nurse. After OTC I will continue my education and pursue a career as a FNDI (Forensic Nurse Death Investigator). College has consumed my life; which is why I have resorted to joining Live Journal in order to make new friends and keep up with old ones. I have recently realized who my real friends are and sadly that doesn't leave too many. Most of them want to stay in the high school scene and party, leading to a few of them receiving academic probation. I have just come to terms with the fact that I can't be friends with everyone and it will be better for me in the long run. I don't need anyone holding me back! I have kept some true friends and I love them to death. I am in love with an amazingly gorgeous and talented man. Matthew Miller is the love of my life. He asked me to be his girlfriend on May 4, 2006:) We have been together ever since. He asked me to marry him on our four year anniversary, so we have been engaged for a little over seven months. He is also a full time college student; we are extremely busy! I am really excited about meeting new people and interacting with new people.
